Texas Authorities Arrest Hit-and-Run Suspect

Police have arrested 21-year-old Connor Dylan Caldwell in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of a 38-year-old man in Burleson on Tuesday.

Details of the Burleson Hit-and-Run

According to the Burleson Star, Clayton Stoke was fatally injured after he was struck by a pickup as he rode his motorcycle on East Renfro Street.

Authorities responded to a call concerning Stoke’s body just before 11:00 pm – Stokes was found unresponsive in a ditch next to the road. Officers are unsure how long Stokes was alive following the accident.

Detectives used debris from the scene to determine the make and model of the truck, identifying it as a gray metallic 2001-2014 Ford F-150. Within 24 hours of identifying the type of vehicle, authorities had obtained a warrant for Caldwell’s arrest.

Caldwell was taken into custody Wednesday and is being held on a $15,000 bond. He has been charged with an accident involving death and faces up to 20 years in prison.
