Texas Day Care Owner Charged in Infant Death
The owner of a Kyle, Texas daycare is currently on trial for capital murder, relating to the November 2010 death of a 10-week-old infant in her care.
Infant Had Significant Injuries
According to reports, the infant was rushed to the hospital on November 18, 2010 with swelling to the head. The daycare owner told authorities that the child had fallen off the couch; however, police became suspicious when doctors found unusual rib fractures on the boy.
The daycare owner was arrested for causing serious bodily harm to a child. The charges were upped to murder when the child died a week later. The trial is currently ongoing. If convicted, the daycare owner faces a sentence of life in prison.
