KVUE reported that a hit-and-run accident left a White Settlement firefighter dead.

About the Hit-and-Run Accident

On Saturday, Trevor Gage was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by an automobile. Later that evening, Gage underwent surgery for a head injury. On Sunday morning, Gage was pronounced dead.

When the White Settlement Fire Department posted that Gage passed away, many people responded with comments praising Gage’s character. One commenter wrote, “Trevor had a huge impact on my son’s life during the Apprentice program at WSFD. I have had the opportunity to have him at my house for a medical call and he was truly a professional.”

According to a law enforcement source, police are investigating whether road rage played a role in the accident. Additionally, police are still gathering details from a key witness.

White Settlement Police Officer’s Association posted this description of the information that has been gathered on the suspect:

“Based on current information we are looking for a gloss black (not two tone) Ford F150 between the years of 2010-2014, possibly a Limited model. We expect this to have scrape marks along the passenger side truck bed from the highway bars on the motorcycle. The driver was a Hispanic male with black hair. The truck most likely DOES NOT have front end damage as seen in several reports. Witness statements said that there is a sticker in the bottom left corner of the truck tailgate.”
