David Turnbull3 years ago
Charges have been brought against the driver of a tractor-trailer involved in a multiple vehicle collision that resulted in the death of three people.

About the St. John Parish Trucking Accident

  • On October 8th, a Peterbilt tractor-trailer sideswiped a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado off of Louisiana 3127, causing the death of three and serious injuries in another in a multiple vehicle crash.
  • According to The Times-Picayune, the 18-wheeler driven by Damion Robinson crossed the center line of the road and entered opposing traffic which caused two vehicles, the Silverado and a 2006 Honda to crash into the truck.  The Honda hit the Peterbilt head-on and veered 120 feet before coming to a halt.
  • Louisiana Police reported that upon arrival to the scene, the St. John’s Coroners Office pronounced all three in the Honda were dead.  The driver of the Silverado suffered severe injuries and was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans.
  • The driver of the 18 wheeler was charged with four counts of vehicular negligent injuring and another charge of driving left of center in the St. John crash.
