Three high school football players from Maryland were killed in a car accident.

Details about the Fatal Accident

Multiple sources are reporting that three student athletes from Clarksburg, Maryland were killed in an accident about 12 hours before the school’s graduation. All three student athletes were junior football players.

The victims have been identified as Jacob Tyler Dennis, Patrick Andrew Shifflett, and Cary Mauri’ce Greene. The three boys were in a Ford F-250 pickup truck that was involved in the single vehicle accident. Police in the Clarksburg are have stated that the likely cause of the accident, which happened at 11:30 p.m., was the high rate of speed of the vehicle. There were no indications that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The report from the police officers also indicated that at least two of the victims were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
