Three Hospitalized after San Antonio Head-On Collision

Three people were injured and sent to the hospital after a head on collision in San Antonio.

KSAT 12 News in San Antonio is reporting that three people were sent to the hospital after being involved in a head-on collision that happened on the northeast side on San Antonio, according to police.

The accident happened at about 11:00 p.m. on Monday evening, near the intersection of North Weidner Road and Mabelle Drive, which is not too far from Windcrest City Park and Randolph Boulevard.

Police further stated that the small vehicle was traveling south when the driver went over the yellow line and hit a small sport utility vehicle that was heading in the opposite direction at the time of the accident. The two people who were inside the vehicle during the collision had to be cut out of the vehicle by emergency crews and were taken to University Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the sport utility vehicle was also taken to University Hospital. An investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
