Three people were hurt in a bicycle accident that happened in Mason.

The Lansing State Journal is reporting that a 22-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a hit and run accident that happened that involved a bicycle on Monday in the southwest area of Mason, according to police.

A total of three people, including a three-year-old boy, were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after about 7:40 p.m. along Plains Road, near Tuttle Road, according to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.

The people were riding on a tandem bicycle when they were hit by the vehicle from behind. The young boy who was hurt in the accident was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle did stop to help the victims but left the scene of the accidents before police arrived.

The woman will likely face charges of leaving the scene of an accident causing injury.
