Details about the Fatal Wilson County Accident

Fox News San Antonio is reporting that three people were killed in a major accident that happened ion Wilson County on Sunday. The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. along Highway 123 and County Road 426 near Stockdale.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the accident happened when the driver of a white GMC pickup truck went over into the northbound lanes on Highway 123 and crashed into a black Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver of a red Toyota was then unable to avoid the accident in time and crashed into both of the other vehicles.

Someone who lives in the area where the accident happened indicated that while they didn’t see the accident, they immediately knew it was a head on collision due to the sound of the crash.

State troopers have said that Charles and Sandra Redden, of Seguin, were heading south in their white pickup when, for some reason, Charles lost control of the vehicle and veered into the other lane, hitting Wayne and Ladona Speer, from Iowa.

People in the area say drivers often speed down that stretch of highway.

According to troopers, both Charles and Sandra Redden and Ladon Speer were killed at the scene of the accident. Wayne Steer and the driver of the Toyota were taken by helicopter to the San Antonio Military Medical Center.
