A spokesman from the Houston Fire Department has stated that the plane crashed just after 1 p.m. into a vehicle that was parked at a hardware store near the Hobby Airport in the southeastern part of the city. Officials believe that the three people who were killed in the accident were in the plane. No one was in the vehicle that was hit by the plane at the time of the accident.
According to the spokesman, no other injuries were reported in the accident.
The single-engine plane was trying to land at the Hobby Airport when it crashed just a mile north of the airport. At this time it is uncertain what caused the plane to crash, but an investigation remains ongoing.
