Three Killed, One Seriously Injured in Colorado Accident

Details about the Fatal Accident

The Denver Post is reporting that Colorado State Patrol troopers are currently investigating a fatal accident that happened on Tuesday afternoon in which three people were killed.

 According to a spokesperson from the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened at about 4:35 p.m. local time, when the driver of a Dodge Dakota pickup truck was heading south on the 12400 block of South Foxton Road, near the Conifer area, lost control and ran off the road, rolling down an embankment and into a creek.

There were four people – all males – in the truck at the time of the accident. Three of the passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, and one of them, a 17-year-old, from Kansas, was transported to the St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, to be treated for his injuries.

The ages of the people who were killed, along with their identities, have not been released at this time, Due to the contents of the truck, it appears they were either going camping or returning from a trip.

An investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing at this time.
