Three Police Officers Injured by Suspected Drunk Driver

The Times Leader is reporting on an accident in which three Philadelphia police officers in two separate vehicles were injured by a suspected drunk driver.

Details about the DUI Accident

According to a spokeswoman from the police department, an emergency patrol wagon and an emergency patrol car were parked next to each other is West Philadelphia when the patrol wagon was rear-ended by a sport utility vehicle, pushing it into the patrol car.

Both male officers in the wagon, ages 46 and 27, and a 45-year-old female officer in the patrol car were taken to the Presbyterian Hospital after complaining of pain.

The 58-year-old man who was driving the sport utility vehicle was also taken to the Presbyterian Hospital.

According to police, the man driving the SUV at the time of the accident will be charged with driving under the influence and other related offenses.
