Tires Recalled for “Manufacturing Anomaly”

Abigail Reyes4 years ago

TBC Corporation is recalling about 73,000 Mirada Cross Tour SLX and Big Foot Big O S/T Tires manufactured from January 2009 through January 2011 due to a “manufacturing anomaly.”

Manufacturing Anomaly Could Cause Vehicle Crash

According to the official recall notice, a manufacturing anomaly could result in a crack or separation in the lower sidewall of affected tires. Without intervention, the crack/separation could grow, leading to rapid air loss and a possible vehicle crash.

Details of the TBC Tire Recall

  • This recall involves Big Foot tires (Big O S/T 235/70R16 and 265/70R17) and Mirada tires (Cross Tour SLX 235/70R16 and 265/70R17).
  • TBC tire dealers will replace the tires free of charge when the recall begins (on July 20, 2012.)
