Toddler Killed in New Jersey Bus Accident

A 2-year-old girl was fatally injured Sunday afternoon when she became pinned between two shuttle buses in Chester Township, New Jersey.

About the Fatal Chester Bus Accident

According to the Star Ledger, 2-year-old Elizabeth Fuehring was caught between two shuttle buses in the parking lot of Alstede Farm around 4:30 pm on Sunday. She was killed instantly.

The girl’s mother, Sarah Fuehring, and a family friend, Joanna Alemany, were also injured in the collision. Both remain hospitalized. Alemany’s children, also involved in the accident, escaped the accident with minor injuries.

Reports indicate the incident occurred when a shuttle bus rear-ended another bus on a one=lane dirt road exiting Alstede Farms. The two women and their children were walking between the buses when the crash occurred.

An online donation page created on behalf of the Fuehring family has raised more than $34,000 as of Tuesday. The accident is still under investigation.
