Toy Cars Recalled Due to Choking Hazard
Green Toys is voluntarily recalling about 50,000 toy cars because they have loose parts which may fall off, posing a possible choking hazard to children.
Important Information about the Toy Car Recall
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Green Toys Inc. of Mill Valley California issued a voluntary recall on 52,500 Green Toys Mini Vehicles in the US and Canada because they have loose wheels and hubcaps which could detach from the vehicles.
Green Toys has received 10 reports of wheels and hubcaps loosening from vehicles, but has not received reports of injury. Consumers should take the product away from children immediately and contact Green Toys Inc. at 1-888-973-3421 to receive a full refund.
Description of Recalled Toys
The plastic toy vehicles come in yellow, green, red, white and blue and were sold by mass merchandisers, grocery stores, independent toy stores, specialty stores and online for about $5 each or $18 for a set. The following models are included in the recall:
- MVHA-1014 Mini Vehicle Set
- MAMW-1015 Mini Ambulance
- MVSA-1016 Mini Vehicle Assortment
- MFBR-1018 Mini Red Fastback
- MPCB-1020 Mini Police Car
- MTXY-1021 Mini Taxi
- MVFA-1022 Mini Fastback Set
