Lauren Lopez3 years ago

Toyota Motors has issued a world-wide recall for 200,000 of their vehicles for hybrid-system malfunctions and 169,000 vehicles for an engine bolt defect.

About the Recall

  • The defect in the hybrid-system may cause the alarm to go off, and the hybrid stop running.
  • The engine bolt defect in the vehicles may cause the bolt to loosen and result in the engine stalling.
  • There are no reports of accidents related to the recalls.

Toyota Vehicle Recall Description

The following information has been provided by Daily Finance:

  • The first recall is over an inverter in the hybrid system for the Lexus RX400 and the Highlander models overseas, and the Harrier and Kluger hybrids in Japan.
  • The second involves the Lexus GS350, IS350, Crown and Mark X models where the bolts may loosen, causing the engine to stall.
