Toys “R” Us Recalls Kid’s Activity Centers
On May 30, 2012 The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Toys R Us issued a voluntary recall of the Imaginarium 5-Sided Activity Center due to a choking hazard.
About the Imaginarium 5-Sided Activity Centers
The Activity Centers have been recalled because the small wooden knobs attaching the xylophone keys to the end of the toy can detach and cause a choke hazard to young children. According to the official recall release, Toys “R” Us has received eight reports of knobs detaching. Consumers should immediately take the recalled activity centers from children and return them to Toys “R” Us for a full refund.
Description of Activity Centers
- These Activity Centers were sold in Toys “R” Us stores nationwide and online via www.toysrus.com from August 2009 through September 2010.
- The toys feature multi-colored moveable block letters and shapes in the middle and have a multi-colored xylophone on one end and a mirror on the other.
- The “Imaginarium” logo appears in a blue, oval-shaped logo underneath the mirror on one end.
- The recalled product has the model number 46284; The Toys “R” Us item number is 295909; or the barcode number 000799985462841.
