Trailer Rollover Sends Several to the Hospital

A pickup truck was involved in a trailer rollover accident, which stopped southbound traffic on U.S 101 near Mud Bay.

Details about the Trailer Accident

The Olympian is reporting that on Tuesday, July 5th, the rollover accident involving a Chevrolet Suburban and 25-foot camping trailer occurred at approximately 1 p.m. According to the Olympian Fire Department, several people were reportedly rescued from the rollover. Some of those who were rescued were sent to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Everyone involved in the accident is expected to make a full recovery.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Brooke Bova spoke to The Olympian and told news reporters that the cause of the trailer rollover is unknown at this time. However, she affirmed that the driver was not impaired. A total of two children were taken to the hospital for precautionary measures. No-life threatening injuries were subject to anyone in the vehicle. One lane was reopened at approximately 3 p.m. and crews were clearing debris from the roadway.

An investigation into the causes and circumstances of the accident remains ongoing at this time. Alcohol was not involved in the crash, but authorities are working to figure out the exact cause. No charges have been filed.
