Tricycles Linked to a Significant Safety Hazard
About the Tricycle Hazard
Tricycles have proven to be a safety hazard because most children do not have the proper balance and coordination until around the age of three.
FOX News reports that tricycles have been linked to more than 9,000 U.S emergency room visits in 2012 and 2013 alone. These numbers are astonishing and the statistics are increasing.
A study from researchers at Medical College of Georgia and Emory University, showed these results. Nearly 5,000 injuries occurred each year since 2012, all related to tricycles.
