Truck Hits and Kills Pedestrian in Fort Collins
An elderly pedestrian was killed in an accident that happened in Fort Collins.
Details about the Fatal Accident
The unidentified man was walking near Riverside Avenue, when a GMC Sierra ran him over, and dragged him several yards from the crosswalk, ultimately being lodged under the truck.
The man was pulled from the asphalt with heavy equipment and taken to Medical Center of the Rockies, with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The driver, 67 year old Martha Bergland was uninjured in the crash, and it has not been said whether she will face charges.
A large area of the street has been closed for investigation, as it has baffled investigators how such a serious crash occurred on a street where people are always seen going to and from medical appointments.
