Twelve children have been taken to the hospital following an accident involving a school bus in Gloucester Township.

CBS Local in Philadelphia has reported that, according to police in the area, 12 children were taken to area hospitals after a school bus accident in Gloucester Township, New Jersey on Friday morning.

Authorities have said that the school bus involved in the accident was taking children to the Ann Mullen Middle School when the collision occurred. The vehicle that hit the bus was being driven by a 25-year-old male with two passengers: a two-year-old and a four-year-old.

All of the passengers in the vehicle that hit the bus were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the bus was apparently beginning to slow down and had activated the yellow lights when the collision happened.

The accident is currently under investigation.
