Twist Swivel Stools Recalled – Fall Hazard
Around 125,000 Twist Swivel Stools from Cost Plus World Market and World Market have been recalled due to a fall hazard created by a single joint.
About the Twist Swivel Stools Recall
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) the weld joint that attaches the stool seat to the center post can break. There have been a total of 12 reports received about the stool’s joint breaking.
The CPSC recommends consumers immediately stop using the Twist Swivel Stools and return them to a Cost Plus World Market or World Market for a refund.
Description of Twist Swivel Stools
Information below provided by the CPSC:
- The recalled stools are 24.5 inches tall in the non-extended position and 29.5 inches tall when fully extended.
- The stools include a light brown-finish wood seat and a base with four black metal legs.
- The SKU number 438000 is printed on the UPC sticker that is attached to the underside of the stool seat.
- The recalled stools were sold by Cost Plus World Market and World Market nationwide as well as online at www.worldmarket.com from February 2011 to February 2015 for close to $120.
