Two Charged in Fatal Paris Accident

Two people have been arrested and charged in a fatal fiery accident that happened last Friday.

Details about the Fatal Accident

KXII News is reporting that police in Paris, Texas have arrested two people involved in the fiery accident that killed 31-year-old Jessica Hollowell last Friday.

According to police, 18-year-old Rodrigo Hernandez and 17-year-old Jennifer Robledo both face charges from the accident.

Hernandez was driving the vehicle – a red Mustang – at the time of the accident and was speeding next to Hollowell when the two cars collided with each other. Hollowell clipped the back end of Hernandez’ vehicle, lost control of her Mercedes, and then hit a traffic light near the intersection of Lamar Avenue and Northeast 20th Street.

Both of the vehicles collided where the two westbound lanes of Lamar Avenue transition into just one westbound lane. The impact of the collision caused Hollowell’s vehicle to go up in flames instantly. Hollowell was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Hernandez is being charged with accident involving death and for racing on the highway causing serious bodily injury. According to police, Robledo is being charged with giving a false report to a police officer for lying about being at the scene of the accident when it happened.
