Two children were injured in an accident that happened near Okeeheelee Park.

Details about the Child Accident

WPTV News is reporting that, according to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, two children were sent to the hospital via helicopter after they were involved in a two vehicle accident that happened on Tuesday morning near Greenacres.

Police in the area have further stated that the accident happened at about 9 a.m. along Forest Hill Boulevard, which is near Okeeheelee Park.

As a result of the accident, Forest Hill Boulevard westbound was closed from Olive Tree Boulevard to Pinehurst Drive, which is just west of Jog Road, according to the Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Manager Meredith Cruz.

An update on the conditions of the children has not been released at this time. An investigation into the cause and circumstances of the accident remains ongoing at this time.
