Two Children, One Adult Killed in Accident in Nebraska

Three people were killed in an overnight accident that happened on Thursday.

Details about the Fatal Accident

Siouxland Matters News is reporting that one adult and two children were killed in an early morning accident that happened during the overnight hours on Highway 20 on Thursday.

According to police, the accident happened just west of Jackson, Nebraska at about 3:45 a.m. when the driver of the vehicle swerved to avoid hitting a deer that was crossing the roadway and drove into a ditch. The car that landed in the ditch below was carrying four people.

Mercy Air Car and ambulance vehicles responded to the scene of the accident. The roadway was closed in order for the helicopter to land.

Three passengers in the vehicle were killed in the accident: one female adult, a female child, and a male child. The driver of the vehicle, an adult male, was transported to Mercy medical Center in Sioux City.
