Two elderly people were both killed in a single vehicle accident that happened in San Antonio.

KSAT 12 News in San Antonio is reporting that two people – both in their 80s – were killed in a single vehicle accident that happened near Highway 151 and Loop 1604 on the west side of the city in an accident that happened just before 7 p.m. on Sunday evening.

According to San Antonio police, the driver of a green SUV was heading west from 151 to north on 1604 when he crossed all four lanes of traffic on the loop and collided with a concrete barrier on the southbound lanes.

One person who was on a motorcycle was clipped by debris and was treated at the scene of the accident for minor injuries. Witnesses have stated that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and did not appear to slow down before the accident.

The identities of the victims have not been released, but police have stated that they were a man and a woman. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation at this time.
