Two people were injured in a rollover accident in Holyoke.

Details about the Rollover Accident

Multiple sources are reporting that two people were transported to the Holyoke Medical Center with injuries that were reported to have been non-life threatening.

According to police, the rollover accident happened in the city just before 11 a.m. on Friday morning, when a vehicle was slowing down to make a left turn from South Canal Street onto South Summer Street when a pickup truck that was traveling behind the vehicle attempted to pass it on the left.

The front end of the car hit the side of the truck and caused it to rollover, according to the Holyoke Police department. The driver of the truck has since been cited for improper passing. Both of the vehicles were towed away from the accident, but the contents of the pickup truck, tools, were scattered all over the roadway and had to be cleaned up before the roadway was reopened to the public.
