Two Men Injured in Head-On Collision in Garland

Interstate 635 in Garland was closed on Saturday due to an accident cause by a wrong-way driver.

Details about the Wrong-Way Driving Accident in Garland

Police in Garland responded to the scene of an accident on Interstate 635 at La Prada Drive for several hours after a wrong-way crash seriously injured two men, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The crash happened at around 4:20 p.m. Saturday between La Prada Drive and West Centerville road when a grey BMW was headed south onto the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into a Toyota SUV, according to police.

The crash then caused the SUV to flip and hit a Ford F-150.

The drivers of the BMW and SUV were taken transported to area hospitals, and, as of late Saturday, they were in stable but serious condition.

The occupants of the Ford F-150 were treated and release at the scene of the accident.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident, but they do not believe that alcohol was involved.
