KWTX News in Temple is reporting that an 18-wheeler crashed in almost the exact same spot as another one that crashed earlier in the day.

Details about the Multiple-Vehicle Accident in Temple

According to KWTX News in Temple, another multiple-vehicle collision was reported late Wednesday afternoon in Temple in the same area where another big rig had overturned just hours before on Interstate 35 that backed up traffic for miles.

The crash involved an 18-wheeler and an uncertain number of other vehicles and happened on the southbound lanes near mile marker 303.

Just after 4 p.m., one of the lanes in the southbound direction had to be closed and traffic was backed up again, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash site was clear at about 5 p.m., but drivers were still urged to stay off the roadway.

The northbound lanes were closed again later on Wednesday to replace a section of the barrier that had been damaged in the accident and an addition closure was expected to happen Wednesday night to replace a section of the damaged crash cushion.
