Jonathan Hernandez7 months ago

Two women were killed after their vehicle collided with and wrapped around a pole.

Details about the Accident Involving the Utility Pole

Multiple sources are reporting that two women were killed when the convertible they were riding in wrapped around a utility pole, according to sheriff deputies from the Jefferson Parish.

The deputies also report that the accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning on Interstate 10 Service Road in Metairie. A spokesperson from the sheriff’s department, Colonel John Fortunato, identified the two women as 24-year-old Madison Comeaux of Metairie, and her passenger, 38-year-old Jaclyn St. Romain, of Slidell.

A traffic fatality investigator stated that the Ford Mustang convertible exited the Interstate after being involved in another hit and run accident. The Mustang then got on the service road, but was traveling at a very high rate of speed and hit another vehicle.

The driver of the Mustang then lost control of the vehicle, overturned, and then skidded into the utility pole – the impact causing the vehicle to wrap around the pole. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
