Two Women’s Basketball Players Killed in Traffic Crash

Two women’s basketball players from Texas A&M-Commerce University were killed in a traffic collision on Tuesday.

About the Paris, Texas Trucking Accident

According to NBC News, the car that Aubree Butts, 20 and Devin Oliver, 21 were riding in struck an 18-wheeler semi-truck at Loop 286 in Paris, Texas.

Butts and Oliver were pronounced dead at the Paris Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle, La’Tisha Hearne, 21 and the front passenger, Zenobia Winbush, 19, are in critical condition. All four were members of the Texas A&M-Commerce women’s basketball team.

The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured and police say that speed, drugs, or alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the accident.
