Two Workers Injured Following Trench Collapse

Two people were taken to the hospital after being rescued from a trench collapse in Milton, New York.

Details about the Trench Collapse                                  

On December 21, 2015 at just around 12:45 p.m., the Saratoga County Sherriff’s Office received reports of a trench collapse in the Northern Pines Mobile Home Park on Lewis Road.

According to News10 of Milton, police said two employees of the mobile home park were trying to fix a water like inside a six feet deep trench when the trench collapsed on them.

After the collapse of the trench, one of the victims, Mark Vadnais, was able to get himself out of the trench, but the other victim, a woman named Barbara Reed, was buried to her knees in material and required assistance to get out of the trench.

Both of the victims were taken to the Saratoga Hospital and were treated for minor injuries and are expected to be okay.
