TX Instruments Worker Dies in Explosion
Police are reporting that one worker is dead after a water purifier exploded at a Texas Instruments manufacturing plant on Tuesday (October 11, 2011). The 54-year-old victim was reportedly impaled by glass when the water purifier exploded. The industrial accident occurred at the Texas Instruments Inc. chip fabrication unit in Richardson, Texas, near Dallas. Police and investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) were reportedly on scene and are currently investigating the incident.
