Victim of Austin Trucking Accident Identified

Authorities have identified that victim of a fatal trucking accident that occurred in Austin, Texas on Saturday.

About the Austin Trucking Accident

KUVE reports that Austin police have said that an 18-wheeler had parked on the side of South Interstate 35 southbound to inspect a tire. 

As the 18-wheeler was pulling back onto the interstate, a Nissan Xterra, veered onto the outside shoulder and hit the back of the 18-wheeler.

The accident happened around 3:20 a.m. Saturday.

The victim of the Nissan Xterra has been identified to be Christopher Paul Porter, 33.  He died at the scene of the crash.

The driver and passenger of the 18-wheeler were not injured during the crash.

This accident is still being investigated at this time.
