Vitamins Recalled from Dollar General Stores
Florida’s Rexall Grocery Chain is recalling soft gel calcium vitamins from Dollar General Stores nationwide due to a labeling mistake which could cause severe allergic reactions in some users. The calcium supplement bottles may contain tablets made of from crustacean shells, which can cause allergic reactions in those with shellfish allergies. Consumers with shellfish allergies should stop using Rexall soft gel calcium tablets immediately.
Description of Calcium Supplements
- This recall involves Rexall's Calcium 1200 mg plus 1000IU Vitamin D3 (lot number: 387651-04.)
- The soft gels are actually in bottles holding Triple Strength Glucosamine Chondroitin and MSM Tablets.
- This supplement has been distributed through Dollar General which has 9,800 stores in 38 states nationwide.
