Volkswagen, Audi Recalls 80,000 Vehicles
About the Volkswagen/Audi Recall
The Consumerist reports that the automaker is recalling 80,000 cars and SUVs nation- and worldwide.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Volkswagen issued the recall after receiving several reports of small fuel leaks in different models.
Volkswagen reports that the vibrations from driving, and issues in production can cause the small leaks in the vehicles’ fuel injection system.
Description of the Automobiles
- 2012 Audi A6
- 2012 Volkswagen Touareg hybrid
- 2012 and 2013 Audi A7
- 2011 and 2012 Audi Q7
- 2011 and 2012 Audi S4
- 2011 and 2012 Audi S5.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by the car company in March. The car dealers will replace fuel rails and corresponding seals.
