Water Heating Technologies Recalls Gas Water Heater Due to Fire Hazard

Emma D'Arpino6 months ago

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Water Heating Technologies has issued a recall of gas water heaters because the heaters can potentially explode or start a fire

About the Water Heaters Recall

According to reports, Flammable liquids or gases can enter a space between the burner flange and the combustion chamber of the water heater, which poses a risk of fire or explosion.

The recall currently affects roughly 14,400 water heaters sold at pluming contractors nationwide from May 2015 through February 2016 for between $400 and $820.

It is advised that consumers stop using the gas water heaters and call Water Heating Technologies to arrange for a service technician to inspect, repair or replace the water heater free of charge
