One person was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened in Whitney.

Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

KWTX News is reporting that a man from the Whitney were killed on Wednesday morning when the motorcycle he was riding on collided with a pickup truck on a rural Hill Country road.

The identity of the 67-year-old motorcycle rider has not been immediately released at this time, pending notification of family member, according to the Department of Public Safety. Troopers were reportedly called to the scene of the accident at 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

According to the troopers, the victim was operating a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle heading east on FM 1713 when his motorcycle collided with a Dodge pickup that was heading west. The two vehicles collided when the driver of the truck was attempting to turn into a parking lot and pulled into the path of the motorcycle driver.

The motorcyclist was killed at the scene of the accident but the driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
