One man was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened over the weekend.

Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

KWCH News is reporting that the Wichita police are investigating that an accident that happened on Saturday evening near the intersection of Douglas and Martinson proved to have been fatal.

Police have stated that the accident resulted in the death of a 43-year-old man who was riding his motorcycle heading east on Douglas at about 8 p.m. The 50-year-old driver of an ice cream van that was heading south on Martinson was struck near the rear passenger side of the van by the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was then transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. At this time, police have said that they are unsure if the driver of the ice cream truck saw the motorcycle or is he was unsure how close the motorcycle was to the van.
