Widow of Bob Simon Sues Driving Service

Camara Thomas1 year ago

The widow of CBS News veteran correspondent Bob Simon is suing a driving service following the death of her husband, Bob Simon, 73.

Details of the Lawsuit

According to Reuters, Simon was being transported by his driver Reshad Fedahi in a 2010 Lincoln sedan when the accident occurred.

Fedahi had already had his license suspend nine different times and had also received several complaints from other customers for speeding; however, Skyline and Travez continued to hire him. Simon’s widow also claims that Fedahi also had two prior speeding convictions.

In her lawsuit, Francoise Simon clams that the company knew of Fedahi’s previous infractions and complaints, but still entrusted Fedahi with transporting clientele.

Simon was killed when the vehicle he was traveling in slammed into a Mercedes Benz and then into metal lane barrier on Manhattan’s west side.  Francoise Simon is also suing the owner of the Mercedes Benz.
