Woman Critically Injured in San Antonio Crash

A San Antonio woman in her late-fifties war seriously injured last Tuesday after she flipped her car.

About the San Antonio Accident

According to the San Antonio Express-News, the accident happened near the intersection of Mango and Southwest Military.

Around 9:30 in the morning, the woman was traveling westbound in a Pontiac Sunfire when she started to drift onto oncoming traffic. She then over-corrected and drove through palm trees before she crashed into a Toyota Sienna van.

The collision caused the Pontiac to overturn, coming to rest in the parking lot of Casa Del Kabob, in the 1100 block of Southwest Military Drive.

The woman had to be extricated and lost a good deal of blood from the accident. She was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

  • 838 people in 2012 were killed in crashes occurring in intersections or related to an intersection.
