Jonathan Hernandez8 months ago

A woman is now in critical condition after an accident involving two vehicles on Monday afternoon.

Details about the Rollover Accident

NFW Daily News is reporting that three people were injured – one of them critically, in a rollover accident that happened in Monday afternoon on Elgin Parkway.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was T-boned, which caused her car to turn over onto its side. The woman was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident, which likely saved her life, according to Ryan Christen, a spokesman for the Ocean City-Wright Fire Department.

Spokesman Christen further stated that one of the most common things that happens during a rollover accident is that a person will be ejected from the vehicle due to the momentum of the rollover.

The woman was traveling alone at the time of the accident, and she had to be cut out of the vehicle. She was transported via helicopter to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, where she is currently listed in critical condition.

The other two people who were in the second vehicle were taken via ambulance to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

The accident was originally reported at 3:21 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, but there have not been any new details that have been released at this time.
