Details About the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

WCNC News is reporting that a woman was killed after she was hit by two vehicles on in Lenoir on Thursday morning.

According to Lenoir Police, 47-year-old Michelle Anne Holt was attempting to cross Blowing rock Boulevard at about 6 a.m. when she was hit by a vehicle. Before emergency responders were able to arrive at the scene, another vehicle hit Holt while she was lying in the roadway.

Holt was then taken to the Caldwell UNC Health Care and was pronounced dead by medical personnel. The second vehicle that hit Holt left the scene of the accident, according to police.

Officers are currently looking for a dark-colored pickup truck. The make and the model of the truck are uncertain at this time, but the vehicle was last seen leaving the accident and heading north on Blowing Rock Boulevard, according to police.
