One woman was killed in an accident that happened in Jackson.

Details about the Fatal Jackson Accident

The Clarion-Ledger is reporting that one woman was killed and a man was injured in a single-vehicle accident that happened on Wednesday morning.

According to the Jackson Police Department, they received a call and responded to the scene of the accident that happened on South Drive near Westhaven Boulevard at about 2:51 a.m. The driver of a Honda Accord, who was later identified as 38-year-old Arlando Wilson, was heading west, when his vehicle left the road and collided with a tree.

A passenger in the front seat of the vehicle, 35-year-old Latoya Horton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Wilson was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with critical injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown, but remains under investigation by the Accident Investigations Division.
