A 29-year-old woman was critically injured Wednesday morning when she struck by an 18-wheeler in southwest Houston.

Details of the Houston Trucking Accident

According to the Houston Chronicle, the woman was stepping into a crosswalk at the intersection of Murphy and Roark Road when she was struck and dragged by a tractor-trailer.

Reports indicate that the truck driver was making a right hand turn at a red light and did not see the woman crossing the street with her boyfriend.

Witnesses said the truck continued down Murphy Road dragging the woman as her boyfriend chased after the truck yelling “You hit my girlfriend.”
