Woman Struck by Bus in New York

Police are investigating a pedestrian accident in which a double-decker tour bus struck a woman New York’s West Village.

Details of the New York Bus Accident

According to the New York Post, the City Sights bus was traveling south along Seventh Avenue around 5 pm Wednesday when it struck a woman near West 14th Street.

Emergency responders arrived to find the elderly woman pinned under the bus. The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital with multiple, life-threatening injuries.

Police are unsure whether the woman was jaywalking or if the bus was at fault. A witness, however, claimed that the woman was in a crosswalk and that it appeared as though the bus driver simply did not see her.

Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
