Stephanie Samedi12 months ago

A single mother of four spent six days trapped inside of her car after getting into an accident down a mountainside. She is suing General Motors, saying that the safety features in her car failed.

About the Horrific Incident

According to Reuters, Kristin Hopkins, a 45-year-old mother of four, had both of her legs amputated after losing control while driving and rolled down a mountainside. She spent six days alone, trapped in her car before she was discovered.

She filed a lawsuit on Tuesday claiming that the automaker knew that their “crash avoidance system” was defective.

The vehicle, a 2009 Chevy Malibu, rolled 300 feet down the Colorado mountainside before coming to rest. The incident occurred near Red Hill Pass, roughly 65 miles southwest of Denver.
