Worker Dies in Electrocution Accident
An asbestos abatement technician died last Tuesday (March 13, 2012) after being electrocuted in an on the job accident at an Army Corps facility in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Details of the Work Accident
According to reports, the technician was part of a team working to remove asbestos from the Pine Bluff Arsenal, an Arkansas Army Corps of Engineers facility, when the accident occurred.
He was standing in a bucket truck when the pipe he was working with slipped and touched an overhead power line, electrocuting him. Officials are awaiting the results of an autopsy; the accident remains under investigation.
