Young Bicyclist Killed after Accident Involving Truck

The boy who was hit by a truck while on his bicycle last week has died, according to authorities.

Details about the Fatal Bicycle Accident

WDAY News is reporting that a 14-year-old boy from Jamestown who was injured on May 17 in an accident in which the bicycle he was riding was hit by a truck has died from his injuries, according to the Jamestown Police Department. Major John Johnson from the Jamestown Police Department has confirmed that Christopher A. Roach died from his injuries on Sunday.

The accident originally happened at about 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Street and 7th Avenue in the northeast area of Jamestown. The truck was owned by RTS Shearing.

Roach was taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center via ambulance, but was later transported to a hospital in Fargo via helicopter.

An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
