A young boy was killed after falling down an elevator shaft in Brooklyn.

Details about the Fatal Accident in Brooklyn

The Associated Press is reporting that a 4-year-old boy was killed after he fell down an elevator shaft at a parking garage in the Brooklyn area.

According to the New York Police Department, the accident happened at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening in a private parking garage in Park Slope. Police have stated that the boy was with his parents when he fell through the gap between the elevator and the wall. Police further indicated that the boy fell a total of about 50 feet.

After the accident, the boy was transported to the Methodist Hospital. He died at the hospital on Thursday. An investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing at this time.
