Young Girl Killed, Five Injured in Fiery Crash

One child was killed and five other people were injured in a fiery multiple-vehicle accident on Sunday in Pine Valley.

Details about the Fatal Multiple-Vehicle Accident

FOX 5 News is reporting that an 11-year-old girl was killed and five other adults were injured in a chain-reaction accident on Interstate 8 in Pine Valley, according to authorities.

The three-vehicle accident happened in the westbound lanes near the United States Border Patrol checkpoint just west of Buckman Springs Road. The accident was reported just after 9 p.m. on Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The car that the 11-year-old girl was riding in caught fire after the impact of the accident. The girl was trapped inside the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Five other vehicle occupants suffered major injuries and were all transported to the hospital.
